Capital de São Paulo, é onde vive Edson Codenis o vigoroso The Modem, para os que não o conhece, ele já lançou o pop grudento e estiloso ''Hard Pop'', lançado em 2016, é considerado um dos melhores discos segundo nós mesmos (hehe).

''Tokio Electric Power'' tem uma atmosfera sombria, que remete grandes nomes da década de 80 que fizeram (ou ainda fazem) o gênero ”New Wave”, como o Depeche Mode, Clan Of Xymox, Kraftwerk. ”Tokio Electric Power” é seu segundo disco lançado aqui pela Crooked mas sendo o primeiro álbum cheio, contendo 9 faixas dançantes com o pé direito no gótico.

Desta vez, ele aposta em letras em inglês com títulos marcantes, como a 7a faixa ''The Night Was Never Be So Dark''. Como eu já havia dito, o registro tem seu clima denso e cai como uma luva para tempos mais chuvosos; é uma ”soundtrack” pesadíssima para um bom frio a dois.

Com mais sintetizadores e teclados que recheiam ainda mais a textura eletrônica do The Modem, Edson opinou em fazer tudo nesse disco, até a produção, com exceção de Gabi Lasi no backing vocal da 3a faixa ''Enjoy Every Second''. O inverno está chegando! Ouçam ''Tokio Electric Power'' a todo vapor!!!
